Planning
Parish Council Planning meetings are held when required and notices of said meetings are placed in advance within the Parish Council noticeboard by the petrol station and on the Parish Council website.
As a Statutory consultee, it is the responsibility of the Parish Council to review and comment on planning applications submitted to Daventry District Council or South Northants District Council, where the proposed development may affect Byfield.
In reviewing such applications it's the Parish Council's purpose is to ensure that local knowledge of facts and the opinions of local people, especially neighbours of the proposed development, are conveyed to the planning authority.
The Parish Council may also comment on matters of local concern including infrastructure.
