The Brightwell

The Parish Council acts as the trustee for the Brightwell Recreation Ground Charity and normally meets at least 4 times a year.  The charity works closely with the cricket, bowls and tennis clubs plus the Scout groups to make sure that everything runs smoothly.

A few years ago more day to day management of the field and facilities was delegated to the clubs.  This has proved successful as it allows the clubs to get on with the regular maintenance and small projects without having to get the Brightwell committee involved at each stage.  That said, an important role of the BRGC is still to authorise any new projects and ensure that all users of the Brightwell are equally and fairly represented.

For more information, please contact the Clerk to the Parish Council, Mrs Angela Weller.
